Well i have learned a different meaning of Gambatte! Its not like "suck it up" and "cheer up" but rather "Keep going!" its, at least for me, a positive affirmation in good as well as bad times to endure and ,well, keep going and not giving up not crumbling under whatever comes in life. This means not to go into gaman, selfdenial or whatever bad things one can do to oneself as well as not to do bad things to others even if they seem to be the source of problems or troubles. best regards and (as i understand it) gambatte!
