there is no rule as to what would get moved to off-topic, but usually i dont mind a post or two that kinda springs from a gridcosm level (which it did), but if that thread starts turning into having a life of its own, not having to do with gridcosm, i move it to off-topic.

nothing is blocked or deleted. its just that off-topic is the place for, well, "other" stuff. this is a place for gridcosm-related stuff.

i certainly welcome the subject that was introduced, and even wanted to say stuff about it (note: in off-topic). but sito isnt really a general discussion board, so general discussion almost always gets moved to off-topic.
