As I'm Sure you know, when adding a square to the long side of a golden rectangle, another golden rectangle is formed, and thus a golden spiral. Imagine a grid cosm where the finidhed panel is a golden rectangle, and an artist is allowed to add a square or that swuare could be four squares, which makes another rectangle... The reason I think About this type of cosm is because I think the addition square(s) position would toggle from vertical to horizontal alignment(portrait/landscape) eevery turn and because the previos panel blendline would be singular (altho a 4 square addition would let 4 people blend while two squares connect...which would make blend management way easier and the effects of quilting or paneling not so harsh. I also think this would benefit a 'less airduct like' zoome while maintaintin depth. anyway next time you look at a goled spiral diagram think of a cosm created in that format and see if you think there might be advantages to that format.. http://id.sito.org/oed/
