Description: The old man (called "Chess Addict" by those who don't fully understand the guy) plays as usual in Rizal Park's Chess plaza. Even if he hasn't won any game in major chess tournaments, he told me that he likes playing chess. He also told me that he has grown old, losing to time's own game, but like in chess (and like most Filipinos), he continues to fight, will continue to fight, and will die fighting. In a sense, that Filipino spirit is immortal. And an alternate title for this artwork is "The Immortal Loser". A loser, yet immortal.
