| Do you think television portrays things the way they really are? | Not really. I think in a way television makes things look the way they want them
to be. If they really told, like, all the real news, I don't think people would be
outside as much. People would probably be scared to be out there. 'Cause if you really
think about it, the world is a dangerous place. They don't say like young kids are
at the park. They show young kids at the park all playing, playing basketball and
everything. But they don't show the kids on the sidelines sitting down with their
friends or whatever, wearing their bullet proof vests. And they don't show the young
people coming up from the church having their guns with them and stuff like that.
Because they don't want you to know stuff like that. In actuallity, that's the way
the world is. |
| Do you think they have too much violence on TV? | Not really. |
| No? Do you think the violence they show on TV is pretty much the way it really is or do you think they play it up? | I think in a sense they don't show really enough. I think they should show more so
people'll really see the way the world is. |
| Do you think that things really are very violent out there? | Yeah, I know they are. |
| How else does television show things? | TV, it persuades people to believe what they want you to believe. Television doesn't
even have to have any subliminal messages in it, because television in its own right
is a subliminal message. They brainwash you to believe what they want you to believe.
They have their own opinion on things. They put it on TV so you'll believe their
opinion and not have their own. ( top ) |
