I hear you... it's so sad... Where I come from, Poland, the meaning of the word "country" is very vague - one time there's the country, then again, it doesn't exist, in one way or another. The other sad thing is, I had never actually heard about Kosovo before the war broke out... I hope that now, years later, things are going the right direction. Are they?
