i see ya. you mean more like a folk history of gridcosm. wow... that would be interesting to try to pull together. i was just the other day trying to remember when we stopped having to manually stitch the images together in photoshop for each level.

the wayback machine shows the ftp method being used in may 1997, at least. so we know the switch hadnt happened yet, i guess. i have yet to click to newer versions there to find the change. maybe some gridcosm historians can help do some clue hunting.
