i am not sure how ed programmed the "look-ahead" for loading levels. i should ask. it may have room to be optimized.

also, i am pretty sure he has made the viewer capable for offline use! in fact, i think(?) that is part of the reason he was working on it.

soon i want to make a cdrom available of gridcosm -- the levels, some metadata, and a viewer. probably to coincide with the forever-in-progress gridcosm dvd.
