Blending revisited #8209

Well, you could subdivide the blending deal into "technical" blending and "conceptual" blending.

The bottom section of your first piece was technically tricky to blend. ...gridcosm?level=2018

Mainly because the A2 square had a gradient. Gradients can be a real bitch to blend with if you're not technically proficient with the gradient tool or understand how to control the paint brush.

From the technical side I found that you can blend with almost anything if you just zoom into your document 400 or 500 percent and use paintbrushes or the clone tool. The problem is that sort of blending can be tedious and time-consuming.

The "conceptual" side of blending I'll stay away from, suffice to say that "technical" blending tricks like reflecting the surrounding pieces sometimes allow you to get that part out of the way . . .
