although I recognize the point you are going for, logically, this statement implodes on itself. Necessity is anathema to existentialism. Necessity implies a teleology.

To my mind, this point relates as a tenuous tangent to your argument in the Corner Sitting thread. One of the points of the openness of the Gridcosm, it that we can Time hog as well as level hog as well as blend, not-blend, etc., but that we can also chose to n. It is a fact that when we drive down the road, we are free to drive our cars into oncoming traffic, but generally we don't. The horror is how easy it would be to freely choose otherwise.
