I think you left out an important detail, because I've always played where you fold the paper so that the next person can only see the edge of your drawing. The drawings MUST MEET at the edges. That's what makes it challenging...there might be six lines on your partner's segment, and they're supposed to make up the figure's waist - you have to guess how.

Back to the grid...on the grid, we play with our eyes open, and we play to connect grid squares together - we're always connecting the previous level to the next one, and as the level fills in, we connect between the panels as well. This means our game is not about guessing but imagining bridges between things.

It's boring to just throw pictures up! Turn his things and her things and my things into *our* things! That's what's fun.
