A piece that can be safely ignored is GREAT if it's blendy background that does not distract from the important elements of the level. Someone who can successfully accomplish this has a talent that I envy.

Upload something that you know will probably be pissed on only if you can't resist. Maybe it will be worth it to you after the tumult has subsided. Maybe not.
