Dave Bugenhagen Mosier added 3 new photos. With regards to what is happening in Ukrane: one thing that makes the first Crimean war much more interesting is that it was the first time people around the world saw photographic depictions of battle! This is only because Roger Fenton, a great inspiration to me, drove his Photographic Van filled with glass plate negatives up to the battlefield to document it! Unfortunately he was a wee bit finicky about dead bodies... regardless, the second image here "Valley of The Shadow of Death" was one of the first photographic images to ever go from the front lines to global distribution. Morris has a whole chapter on the Valley of the shadow of death because there was big controversy (also written about by Susan Sontag) about whether Fenton altered the the placement if the canon balls or not.
