Is it just me or is there some erotic undertones in these children's portraits? It reminds me a little bit of work like Balthus', who dealt with subjects of repressed desires towards young girls.
Especially with the nudes, which lend themselves even a little bit towards a voyeuristic moment which you're not supposed to see.
I don't think any of these things are intentional, but that's the sense I get. Anyone agree?
