That's the feeling I've gotten from what I've read too. I think Freud had some great ideas, but I think he went too far to try to force everyone around him to share his beliefs in all of the details of his theories. Jung was more realistic and his theories allowed for more mystery in the psyche. I think Freud knew that his theories would be more popular if he oversimplified everything.
