Your appreciation is appreciated. When I took the model to the Institute of Physics one of the members, observing the upper magnetic toroid oscillating up and down as it spun rapidly, stated that 'Lotus had tried that mechanism on its sportscars and forbidden the use of it'. I can't imagine what he meant but the idea of the Bender is that it deflects light slightly because the rapid rotation of the free magnet releases negative energy/repulsive gravity. This is apparent as it rises against the Earth's attractive gravity. Maybe we don't see this more often because most rotating disks/wheels are restrained by bearings and the negative energy is dissipated as friction.
