I think fine things can be done with even the most simple paint programs. Photoshop makes everything I make with it look like it was made with Photoshop.

Oil paint will give you much more than all the digital graphic programs in the world put together. The more you enlarge a section of an oil painting the more you will find. Enlarge a digital image and very soon all you find is pixels and no more information.
