Description:Acrylic on canvasette, 9 x 12 in. Created this as an exercise during a painting class taken spring semester 2006, Sierra College, Rocklin, California. Exercise emphasized use of a three-sided box, white sheet of paper on the ground/bottom, milk carton, preferably side lighting; were restricted to using raw umber for the shadow on the ground, Payne's gray for the background, and 'local colors' for the milk carton. Required to paint a soft, somewhat vague, rendering of some of the milk carton's text.
