No, I didn't say that a player should be limited to reserving two squares at a time. I said that a person should be limited to reserving a square two consecutive times. If the player couldn't get the square done in four hours, the player wouldn't be allowed to reserve the square a third time. Then I made a more radical set of proposals. A limit of a single two-hour reservation per player per square. If a player couldn't get it done in two hours, the player would not be allowed to reserve that square again. AND a limit of reserving only one square at a time per player. Even a fast player couldn't take over a level. Gridlock would be rare and would never last more than two hours. Add to these ideas to your proposal, and Gridhogs would be a thing of the past.
