Some user settings can be changed between "private" and "public" in the viewable column of the User Settings page. This controls whether this information will be shown to people visiting the SITO web site.

Some information is marked "public" (or "private") and cannot be changed, due to the nature of the information. Simply leave these fields blank if you wish to avoid this viewability setting.

All information (such as email address) that is marked "private" is only for SITO admin usage, and will not be given out in any way.
