If only you had taken the time to read the presidential report on the building of anti-invasion defences amongst the Home Forces: Headquarters Papers (WO 199). This is likely to give you information, for example, on the broad strategy of the defence construction, stupid qwack! ca-wack!! ca-caw!! O for one drop of the blood which for sinners was spilt. If I'm dead by dawn, may my spirit go on and wake near the shores of Eternity with you, Mother. And I hope it's not boring. Because I could see something that lasts like that being boring for some long stretches of time.
