There appeared to be more than meats the eyes in the clouds of effluvia that were parted by Glade Warrior little baby M. Kelly and her bunny bag cam webb , but the question can be posed: Why did Manet paint Le Déjeuner sur l'herbe? The standard answer is: Because he was interested in exploring new subject matter, new painterly values and spatial relationships. The alternative one is: green grass tastes delicious today!
