This collage was created from many layers of highly textured, imported papers, metallic paints, a type of natural glitter that comes from a stone indigenous to the state of Maine (and other areas), a photo transfer, walnut ink, cloth and other ephemera. The metals in the paint give an iridescent effect that bounces the light across the varying shades of copper, gold, green and blue, balanced by the matte blacks and whites that run throughout the piece.
