Description:This painting began when, for financial reasons, I moved back home with my parents for a brief time after having been out on my own for several years. Stuck in my adolescent surroundings but in a room that was no longer my own, I was surrounded by sentiment and stencils (it was pretty depressing). The bovine creature crashing through the window is a reference to the allegory of Europa being carried off by the bull, though perhaps the female in my allegory would have seen him as a rescue?
