The New York Times has published several news articles about The Splasher--or splashers. http://www.nytimes.com/2007/06/30/arts/design/30kimm.html Obey The Giant guerilla street art posters by artist Shepard Fairey have been splashed with paint. Is nothing sacred? ;-) The Splasher reminds me of MOX somewhat. Defacing street posters and graffiti may or may not be vandalism. Some consider it to be art. I like Obey The Giant but I don't mind seeing it splashed with paint. Taggers will probably retaliate by covering the splashed paint with graffiti. Trying to set off a stink bomb at an art opening is stupid. We never had to worry about MOX doing something that stupid.
